A great thing happend when we hosted 12 hours of Community Manager Hangout #cmgrhangout for Community Manager Appreciation Day #CMAD. That great thing was, we were able to invite community managers from around the world since during that 12 hours, every part of the world was involved as part of their normal work day. Our regular #cmgrhangout is held every Friday at 2pm EST (7pm GMT), which is convenient for almost everyone in North and South America, but not so great for Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. That will all change starting Tuesday, 4 June, 2013, when we partner with VisionsLive to bring you the Worldwide Edition of #cmgrhangout.
The first one is planned for this week, June 4th, 09:30am – 10:30am (GMT) and will be about the “ROI of online communities” and we’ll be inviting a digital strategist and blogger; Adi Gaskell.
Here’s an example of what will be talking about:
– ROI: What is the purpose of a community? Defined by the ROI?
– Big Data: Forums gather information from people; Sell data? Market
research? Develop products? (example: GlaxoSmithKline mining public data to
help field trials)
– Value: accuracy of the data? (particularly important for healthcare
communities but also finance)
– Privacy: Usernames VS real names
Join us this week as Ben O’Halon will be Hosting the Hangout with Adi, and Jack Ramsay will being moderating the Twitter chat #cmgrhangout
Don’t forget to confirm you are attending and be on the lookout for a G+ notification about 9:25am if you want to join the hangout.
