It’s easy to talk about something you are passionate about, believe in and work so hard for. Couple it with an experience that is beyond what I could have imagined, I’m almost at a loss for words. But this isn’t about me. It’s about everyone who made the first ever Community Manager UNconference such a success!

There were over 70 people that attendee the Community Manager UNconference in Chicago on Friday, February 24. Overall, eight sessions took place with two going on simultaneously.

Meet-Meme

A fun time was had with the Meet-Meme trading cards and we awarded several prizes for those that completed their game cards.

Jenny Weigle, CareerBuilder, won the grand prize from The Community Roundtable: TheCR Focus ($350 value)

Karen Johnson, Wilton Brands, and Nicole Fusz, element14, both won copies of Deb Ng’s “Online Community Management for Dummies” book. And Nick Tippmann, Indiana University, and Kelly Loubet, Spellbinders Paper Arts, both won copies of “ZMOT: Winning the Zero Moment Of Truth

The winner of the Google Places contest came from an attendee at the Social Media Club Chicago event, Giselle Gonzalez, who won the Samsung Galaxy Tab!

Vitrue provided a video summary of the Community Manager UNconference in Chicago

The Social Media Monthly
