Our last Community Manager Google Hangout was about tools. It was interesting because toward the end of the hangout, David DeWald (who’s a regular on the hangouts!) was asked about how someone could get involved in one of the oldest, but most closed group of community managers: the gaming industry.
So this week we are going to talk about community manager jobs! How do you get one? What types are there? What prepared you to become a community manager. What are you planning to do after being a community manager? This will be a free flowing conversation that will be great for students or those in career transition as well as seasoned community managers. Everyone should come with questions, experiences and insights. The Community Manager Google Hangout is one of the best hours of the week. We may even get some community managers at SxSW to join us!
