Amy Ravit Korin joined Google as the Midwest Community Manager for Google+ Local in 2011. With over a dozen years of experience in social and emerging media, Amy founded interactiveAmy.com in 2009 and served on the Board of the Chicago Social Media Club from 2008-2012 and Social Media Week Advisory Board in 2012. Amy earned her MBA from Loyola University’s Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Marketing and Human Resources and studied Communications at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Amy lives and breathes social media personally and professionally; and is even an online dating success story – reconnecting with the first boy she ever kissed and marrying him! Since 2003, Van Riper has been building developer communities. He is a serial community organizer: Java User Groups, Google Developer Groups, Community Leadership Summits, etc… Since 2010, Van has been working at Google as a meta-community manager with the organizers of the 350+ Google Developer Groups in 99 countries to date. He is also the lead organizer for the annual Community Leadership Summit West which is coming up fast on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013.

Since 2008, Amy has worked in social media. Her experience includes a wide variety of community management in the tech and startup world on the West Coast. Amy has joined Google last Summer has Community Manager of Google Local San Francisco, and she loves organizing tons of on and offline events for the community. During her off time, she not only enjoys exploring all the wonderful things SF has to offer, but she is also the volunteer marketing director of San Francisco Opera BRAVO! Club, a young professionals’ organization. Her past experience includes working for all different sizes of startups, from LA based mobile company, textPlus, to SF’s very own SF New Tech.
