As this was our first week, we didn’t expect too many responses, but were still somewhat surprised by what we did hear. We asked three questions of community managers this week, ranging from performance to job titles to where they work. Here are their responses:
As a Community Manager, Where do You Work From?
What is Your Official Job Title?
How is Your Community Manager Job Measured?
It was quite interesting to see how overwhelming the responses were that most community managers are measured by the engagement of their community. Does this imply that these companies can directly relate an engaged community to revenue? Or does it perhaps indicate the respondent’s companies use the community manager role as one of customer service? These are issues of why My Community Manager was started and as we move forward, will be able to answer with much certainty.
