Are you interested in working as a community manager for a startup? Do you have an idea for a online or mobile app that you want to see turn into an actual business? If you answered yes to either of these questions, Startup Weekend is for you. My Community Manager is proud to be a media partner with Startup Weekend Chicago on June 1-3. What is Startup Weekend?
Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business, over the course of a weekend. The weekend brings together people with different skillsets – primarily software developers, graphics designers and business people – to build applications and develop a commercial case around them. You do not have to be a developer or designer to be part of Startup Weekend. You can pitch your idea and join a team to use your knowledge of marketing and building a community to help create a winning presentation.
