The votes are in and while no clear winner emerged, Thursday and Friday, early afternoon got more votes than any other day or time. Of course we’re talking about the Google+ Hangout My Community Manager will be hosting on a weekly basis. We’re so excited, we almost forgot to tell you when! Every Friday at 1pm CST (-6 GMT) we will be hosting a Google Hangout for community managers from our Google+ page. How do you participate?
Just head over to the My Community Manager Google+ Page (and circle us so it shows up on your stream when we go live!) at 1pm CST every Friday. Be the first 9 people to join and take part in the hangout. While most hangouts will have a topic with planned questions, some hangouts will be free style, no topic, no planned questions. Some things to keep in mind are to be in a quiet place and use headphones and a mic. If you have a wired connection, it works better than wireless. Be patient as Google Hangouts are still new and have issues on occasion. And until Google opens up the Hangouts for more than 9 people to view and for us to have the ability to record and put on YouTube, these will be exclusive to the 10 of us in the hangout. That doesn’t mean any foul language or personal attacks will be allowed. It is also important to realize these should still be viewed as public, so please don’t share any information you want to remain confidential. So are you ready?
Get ready for our first (regularly scheduled) official Google Hangout on Friday, February 3 at 1pm CST. Where? On our Google+ Page of course!
